The Mission
. . . of the Men of the SHIELD
We are a Christian ministry of men who seek to help other men learn the value of being kingdom men. Kingdom men live in such a way that their masculinity serves God, the church, their families, their country, and their employer. Men of the Shield learn that it is when Christian men stand to gather with God, they are at their strongest. Men of the SHIELD endeavor to hold an upright stance in God, so the lost might see a better way to live. It is our desire to help others learn to meet with the Holy Spirit in a personal way as He, and only He, inspires the lost to seek our Lord Jesus Christ. For the man who does not know how to be an upright man, the Men of the SHIELD will teach that it is through the intentional imitation of Jesus Christ that one becomes all He plans for them to become. We teach that the following of the voice of God, which He calls the Sword (The Holy Bible), it the absolute guide for being a masculine man of God.

SHIELD Mission Challenges
Our Mission is to help men learn how to be the type of men that God intended all men to become. The objective of every mission is to engage in spiritual formation, share the mission, and be good stewards of your body, family, time, finances, and relationship with the Lord. Every mission includes the requirement to complete the following mission tasks:
Independently study and learn every guiding passage in the SHIELD Creed. By the time you reach the BRAVO Mission level, you may be asked to explain any one of the associated scriptures.
Challenge:
-
Attend at least one meeting per week in person or over Zoom for one month minimum. (Mission Conferences/Briefings)
-
Pray daily for the Men of the SHIELD. (Prayer Warrior)
-
Invite three (3) men to attend SHIELD meetings per mission. (Recruiting Challenge)

SHIELD Group (BETA)
The Free SHIELD Group is our version of a social media page, but unlike Facebook, is completely private and inaccessible by evildoers and advertisers. You do not have to be a member of the SHIELD Group page to take advantage of all that is available on this page or attend the Thursday evening meetings. The SHIELD Group is an additional offering where you can read encouraging messages from other members, find additional tools (videos, links, short biblical messages, etc), make prayer requests, and ask questions.
You must be a registered member of this site to request membership to the SHIELD Group page. This process is not automatic; it requires staff approval, so it can take up to 48 hour to be completely approved to access the SHIELD Group.
To register to the Baymeadows Center for Hope & Healing Site (the ministry behind the Men of the SHIELD), click on "Log In" in the upper right of this page (example below).
After you have registered with the site, enter below to request Group Access. If you are already a member, use the button below to access the SHIELD Group.

HONOR
Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
1 Peter 2:17-19
Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor. Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly.

INTEGRITY
Proverbs 19:1
Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool.

Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
